Join us as we capture the beauty of leaves with printmaking at Keiki and Plow! Drawing is a powerful learning tool that taps into the visual, kinesthetic, and linguistic areas of the brain, boosts memory, and increases recall by double. Activate your brain as we use close observation drawing and printmaking to depend understanding, increase engagement, and foster intellectual success.
Artists will gain experience in close observation drawing techniques as they look deeply like scientists and notice the shape, contour, and lines of leaves. Then they will create a printing plate and use printmaking techniques to make beautiful leaf prints to take home and treasure forever! |

Keiki of all ages and adults can create, collaborate, and play with materials that encourage inquisitiveness, exploration, and innovative thinking. Join us for imaginative building with our Inspire KAI mobile block building system as you enjoy a variety of play experiences in construction, STEM play and design your own inventions and joyful worlds of fun!
Sunset Mele and Night Market is a free community event showcasing live entertainment, family-friendly movie, pop-up marketplace, local eats and drinks. Look out for the Keiki Arts Innovation (KAI) booth! Come inside our private room to create with beauty and be inventive with our Inspire KAI blocks!
Hearts at Play workshop series
We are so excited to offer our Hearts at Play Workshop Series this February 2019! Read below for more details about each workshop offering!
Please note that registration is required. Walk-ins are accepted, space permitting. To register, please click on the "Register Here" link below to submit the registration form and reserve a space in the workshop. A parent or guardian is required to stay with their child for the workshop. These workshops are perfect for artists of all ages from 2 years and up. Also, adult artists are welcome to register and co-create alongside their children. We accept cash, check, or Venmo for payment.

This Hearts at Play Sea Hearts Workshop will explore and play with the loveliness of the beach and sea as we create hearts with the beautiful elements of the shoreline. Each participant will take home a heartwarming wooden art piece inspired by the sea.
Location and Parking Information
KAI Studio is located inside of Keiki Pa'ani in the Airport Center Honolulu building. The Airport Center is the building painted with the beautiful Wyland whale mural. You may enter the building through the glass doors on Ualena Street or through the door in the building's parking lot. Take the elevators to the 9th floor. We are in suite 901. There is free on-street parking or $4/hr parking in the building.

KAI Studio is a curated arts, nature, and play based environment that encourages children to explore creatively make connections, and be inquisitive as we believe that these are key components that contribute to their intellectual success. KAI Studio will feature explorations and activities that provide opportunities for keiki to understand, tap into, and practice their own creativity!
For the week of February 4-9, will focus on the art element of color through the language of painting. KAI Studio is a drop-in studio time perfect for Keiki 2-10 years. Registration is not required.
